What if YOUR city had such an awesome birthday story that people celebrated it for 2,700 years?

Rome's Epic Birthday Bash!

The legendary day when a city was born from a wild wolf story

Ancient Romans threw massive birthday parties for their city every year — complete with bonfires!

Imagine a birthday party so big that an entire city celebrates it for thousands of years! That's exactly what happened with Rome!

According to ancient legends, on April 21st (celebrated around April 25th in some traditions), way back in 753 BCE, a young man named Romulus did something incredible. He drew a line in the dirt with a plow and declared: "This is MY city!"

But wait — the story gets even wilder! Romulus and his twin brother Remus were supposedly raised by a WOLF! That's right, a mother wolf found these two baby boys and took care of them like her own cubs. How cool is that?

The ancient Romans loved celebrating their city's birthday with a festival called the Parilia. People would jump over bonfires (don't try this at home!), play music, and have huge feasts. They decorated their homes with flowers and everyone got the day off work!

💡 The symbol of Rome is still a wolf nursing two babies — you can see statues of it all over the city today!
