Auge was a priestess of Athena, the goddess of wisdom. But here's the twist — she had a secret son named Telephus, who would grow up to become one of the greatest heroes in Greek mythology!

Every year around September 9th, the people of Tegea (a city near Sparta) would gather to honor Auge's birthday. They believed she was so special that she deserved her own festival!

But wait — Auge's story gets even crazier! Her father, King Aleus, was told by an oracle that his grandson would cause big trouble. So when he found out about baby Telephus, he put Auge and her baby in a wooden chest and threw them into the sea! Yikes!
