Samuel Adams was born and grew up to help start the American Revolution with his words!

On September 25, 1722, a baby named Samuel Adams was born in Boston who would grow up to become one of America's greatest troublemakers — in the BEST way possible!

Samuel wasn't a soldier or a general. He was a writer, a speaker, and a master of getting people excited about freedom. When the British government tried to tax the American colonists without letting them vote, Samuel said, "No way!" He organized meetings, wrote fiery newspaper articles, and helped plan the famous Boston Tea Party!

Imagine this: In 1773, Samuel and his friends dressed up as Native Americans (though that was pretty disrespectful, we know better now!) and dumped 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. That's about 92,000 pounds of tea — enough to make over 18 million cups! All because they refused to pay unfair taxes.

Samuel was so good at speaking up that the British called him the "most dangerous man in Massachusetts." They even tried to arrest him! But Samuel kept going, helping to write important letters that convinced all thirteen colonies to work together.
